Lady Gaga’s Wearing Unicorns Now (Elle Exclusive)

You know it's  Fall’s prairie trend if even Gaga’s putting on her best western in sky-high cowboy boots.  The two pairs of handmade, exquisitely detailed boots that Lady Gaga sported all over town in Texas recently were custom made for her Born This Way tour by Texas-based boot maker Tony Lama. The boots, which took over 500 hours to make, are festooned with hand-painted unicorns with three-dimensional wings, hand-tooled banners, and gold leather chains, not to mention a rather untraditional inset platform.
“Lady Gaga and her stylist [Nicola Fornichetti] have an incredible impact on the fashion industry,” said Lisa Lankes, VP of communications for Tony Lama’s parent company, Justin Brands.  “The opportunity to work with the award-winning, record-breaking artist at the top of her career is very exciting. We are proud of the amazing style and detail our design team put into the boots, and are thrilled by the support her fans continue to show. What an incredible way to honor our centennial anniversary this year!” Will all her Little Monsters start adopting cowboy boots and Stetsons?  Because that would be country strong.  See both pairs after the jump!
